The World Fighting Alliance is a mixed martial arts organization based in the United States. It held its first event on November 3, 2001. About a year later, on November 23, 2002, it held its third event and then faded away. The WFA returned to the scene, under new ownership on July 22, 2006, featuring the return of MMA legend Bas Rutten.
